Granite countertops are cut from solid natural stone, so no two kitchens look the same. The minerals that give each slab its speckle and veining also make it hard, heat tolerant and scratch resistant, which is why granite is our most popular countertop material.
We fabricate granite for kitchen countertops and islands, bathroom vanities, bar tops, fireplace surrounds, tabletops and outdoor kitchens. Every piece is templated in your home, cut and edged on our own equipment on Sloan Hwy, and set by the same crew that cut it.
What to expect
Start with a quote: send your rough sizes, photos or drawings and the colors you like. Once your cabinets are in, we measure the space and plan seams and sink cutouts with you before any stone is cut. On install day our crew sets the tops, makes the cutouts fit your sink and cooktop, and cleans up before we leave.

Granite countertop questions
- How long does it take to get granite countertops?
- It depends on the slab you choose and the season. We template once your cabinets are installed, cut and polish your pieces in our Lansing shop, and give you an install date at the template visit.
- Does granite need to be sealed?
- Most granite benefits from a penetrating sealer every year or two. It takes a few minutes: wipe it on, let it soak in, and buff off the extra. Some dense, dark granites barely absorb sealer at all.
- Can I put hot pans on granite?
- Granite handles heat well, far better than quartz. A trivet is still a good habit near seams and edges, where sudden heat can stress the stone.
- Is granite more expensive than quartz?
- It depends on the slab. Entry-level granite and quartz are often close in price, and rare or exotic granites cost more. Ask us to quote two or three options side by side.
- Do you install granite outside Lansing?
- Yes. We install across Mid-Michigan, including East Lansing, Okemos, DeWitt, Grand Ledge, Holt, Mason, Charlotte, St. Johns and Williamston.
